i have prior theft charges they . are all 5 years old. and I hve a prior possesion charge. i am in Tennessee
I'm not sure what the question is! Which county are your charges brought in? And I can't tell if you are talking about past charges, or current charges. Can you give more details?
I can help you with your charges but I need more information. You will need a lawyer to represent you. It would be very unwise to represent yourself. AVVO allows you to contact attorneys through their profiles if you would prefer to communicate privately.
The information you obtain from this site is not, nor is it intended to be, legal advice. You should consult an attorney for advice regarding your individual situation. I invite you to contact me and welcome your calls, letters and electronic mail. Contacting me does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send any confidential information to me until such time as an attorney-client relationship has been established.
I agree with the other attorneys that have attempted to answer your question; you need to consult with an attorney so he/she can know all the facts of your case. I would suggest you consult with at least a few attorneys and decide who would best represent your interests and needs. We offer free consultations, please contact my office if you wish to set an appointment. Remember time is of the essence!
You should contact an attorney as soon as possible. All criminal charges (even misdemeanors) carry significant possible consequences. Your prior record can also be used to enhance the punishment you are facing. My office offers a free initial consultation and payment plans to make getting the help you need affordable.
