I haven't missed a payment in the last 6 months my child support payments come directly out of my pay check every week. I recieved a letter from child support saying that I have to go to court on Tuesday March 21,2017. I am worried because I don't know what's going to happen. Should I be worried? Do you think the judge will consider a modification in my case since the income of both parents have changed in the last year?
You have not placed enough information in your question. If you are paid in full, you should have nothing to worry about. In order to tell you what is going to happen, you have to given some detail regarding the notice and/or motion that you received.
This also obtains elements of foreclosure law and issues regarding conflict of interest.
I agree with my colleague. Until an attorney has had the opportunity to know and/or review what the Department of Revenue has filed in your case it is difficult to give you an appropriate response. I would strongly suggest that you consult with an experienced family law attorney in your area to advise you on your best course of action. I wish you the best of luck.
