I have been harassed, discriminated against for disability's, sexual harassment,defamed,whistle-blower and retaliation. I was later terminated while out on disability. The problem I am coming across, is this is a large corporation who makes millions, billions in fact. There doesn't seem to be any local employment attorneys who will take the case, so far. It seems they are all collecting evidence to give back to the employer. How does someone find a real attorney who is not a coward or being paid off to not take the case? I need an attorney with high morals to take on this case. You only have so many days, the laws and time constraints are strict. If someone can help I would greatly appreciate it. maybe I need to hire an attorney from Austin, Dallas or New York... I am not sure.. I feel they are to paid off locally, to not take cases.
Every attorney has different reasons why he/she doesn't want to agree to represent a particular potential client with a case. I sincerely doubt that these attorneys are "collecting evidence to give back to an employer. Another note of caution: many potential clients state that they have lots of proof. But non-attorneys are often incorrect about assuming, implying, or stating that they have a "slam dunk" case.
I suggest you contact (since your post suggests you live in Houston) that you extend your search beyond Houston. As long as the attorney is licensed in TX, he/she should be able to analyze your case, and possibly agree to represent you. (You mentioned New York. Unless that attorney is licensed in TX, he/she wouldn't be allowed to give you legal advice/represent you in this matter.)
