While you may have once had a claim against the doctor or manufacturer, it seems you are likely barred from bringing any action based on Maryland's three year statute of limitations. However, you should contact an attorney who can listen to all of the facts and then give you legal advice.
It is possible that you may have a case against the drug manufacturer if these were known complications and no one told you. Or if the medication is contraindicated. It could also simply be a bad reaction that was unknown and unsuspected. More details would be required to come to a conclusion of whether you have a claim or not.

Looks like you have a big statute of limitations hurdle, but discuss it with a local lawyer nonetheless.
