They got doctors involed saying if your heart stress test is not at 8 mets your hearts not good .they have had a doctor say we want you to come up with a certain number so they can justify why they need to get rid of me, then want put a waiver on me saying i need a stress test every 2 years exc, which they solution is exspose my self to ex- ray more and the side effects .is there safety message. Which on there appacation to new people wanting license u can chech no that u never had a heart problem and not require to take an stress test. this is doule standard safety.I do not like the way they treating me . as it is now doctor not perfect we here all the time on tv if u takend this u may need to sue the doctor.
The Coast Guard is empowered by law to set the standards and unless you have evidence that the standards are in fact a pretext for invidious discrimination based on race, gender, etc., the standards will not be set aside because they may cause an unfairness for an individual. There are procedures for challenging the applicability of the standards as to your case, for appealing the medical findings in your matter, and for seeking a waiver or waivers of the applicable standards. But, in general, everyone eventually feels that they are being sidelined prematurely. That is part of the human condition.
If you feel inclined to pursue a legal claim on this matter, you will need to obtain skilled and specialized legal counsel. This is not an employment discrimination matter.
