I been of us probation officer 8 yrs I been working in a medical doctor office and my restitution payment has been coming out of my wage garnishment my family would love to settle this debt but I am also being charged percent a year. When I was in pretrial in my case I had violated my pretrial and was immediate violated and arrested my prosecutor is not favorable for me and I had attorney contact her before to do a settlement
Probation should have a running total of your restitution and so that is an easy number to determine.
But you have no right to negotiate your debt.
You can try but no one must oblige you.
If you have failed with lawyer # 1 then you might try a different attorney but if you fail again well then you're likely stuck.
Either way, wishing you luck and hoping that I have been helpful in answering your question.
