My social security number was sold by my parents when I was 4 to what I’m assuming was an undocumented person to use to work. I was contacted by the irs I have debt to pay.i explained my situation they said I should of reported long ago and now there is nothing I can do but I wasn’t aware
If the IRS makes a formal decision related to a debt, you can appeal that decision.

Agree with the previous 2 responses: this is a serious problem and you need to be serious about addressing. You need to hire a seasoned tax professional -- CPA, enrolled agent, or tax attorney --- who handles taxpayer disputes to represent you in your appeal to IRS. Best of luck to you.
