There were other alternatives. Obviously you found one if you believe that you are getting six months because where will he be for that six month period? What makes you believe that you will get six months? Many judges will toss you in with no bail and set a date 30 days out or more before they sentence you. What makes you believe that won't happen to you?

You'll do a maximum of three months on a six month sentence. You might do considerably less if the jail is overcrowded and they have to release you early.
