he was charged for sometime he did in December 14,2017.one year ago and some months. there hasn't been any improvements in his case. He has been moved to several detention centers, like 4 or more. We try to contact the lawyer, it seems like he hasn't done nothing with his case. Why is nothing being done with his case? under his charge description it says HOLD USM.
The HOLD USM - means - hold him for the United States Marshall. The date of December 14, 2017 - is only two months. If the USM service wants him - he may have federal charges pending.
No way anyone here can guess why his case is being postponed but given the status of the dockets especially because of the flood, it is not surprising the case is that age.
The lawyer has no obligation to talk to anyone but his client. If the accused is your relative, talk to your relative about what is going and they can share if they want to. If you are related to the complainant, talk to the prosecutor.
If the Fed are going to take him there is nothing his lawyer can do, It also takes more than one court appearance done on a case. The lawyer does not have to talk to you. You need to ask the inmate what is going in his case.
"Hold USM" is a Federal Hold. This means he has a federal case pending. He should be aware of the federal case and should have been taken to a Federal Magistrate for a Detention Hearing, an Arraignment Or a Preliminary Hearing.
