I was on my way to work one morning and attempted to start my vehicle and registered a failed test. I was confused because I have not consumed any alcohol in over 14 years. The report says I registered a .025 . After rinsing my mouth I was about to start the vehicle. I am a type 1 diabetic for 28 years and felt like I was in the early stages of ketoacidosis. I have looked online and found that interlocks can mistake the smell given off by ketoacidosis as ethanol alcohol. Can anyone please confirm this?
Since Mr. Isquith does not know how to redirect a question, I am doing so. (FRED, you have to change the category BEFORE you submit an answer. If you can't grok that, don't even try.)
" I have not consumed any alcohol in over 14 years."
Ask to have the interlock removed?
