i owed on a car loan, the car is a piece of crap, I can't afford to fix it, they received judgment but do not want the car either
If you try and return the car to the lender, they have to take it under certain circumstances, sell it, and apply those proceeds to your balance. However, if the cost to sell the car would be more than it's worth, that may hurt you. If they don't want the car, ask them to release the title to you. Once they do, you can sell it. Unless they release the title to you, you won't be able to legally sell the car anyways.
