I have been on probation since June 27th 2013 and I am almost done my last office visit was last week. My probation officer said there was no reason to see because we meet every other month. I have completed all terms of probation and also am a college student. I have tried early termination to be just told i was not good enough. My PO said she need just another month or so to monitor me that was four almost five months ago. I have not dropped dirty for her no new charges or police contact. My probation officer updated my file to recommend release. I called her about the discharge and she said it is for the 7th of June. I am confused and very irritated i am a first time offender and have not got one break.
Unfortunately in most states you are at the mercy of the probation officer. Some will work with you if they see progress on your part, while others won't. You might want to talk to her and see if she will agree to an early termination if probation was interfering with some aspect of your life, like work.
