I got pulled over by a firefighter and he gave me a ticket for speeding. He had a radar. He wasn't a cop. Can I fight this?

I would hire a traffic attorney. I would assume that the fire fighter would not have the training that even a rookie traffic officer would have. Have your attorney set it for trial and get the fire fighter on the stand.
This is an interesting question. I agree with the other attorney, you can always challenge the calibration on the radar. But does a firefighter have peace officer authority? Those that investigate arson cases do. But as far as traffic is concerned? This is the first I have heard of this issue. I was a Chief Felony Prosecutor for years, and I have never heard of such a case. Contact a local attorney and fight this.

If you can prove his radar was defective, sure.
