I was apprehended by lp as I was walking out of the store with unpaid merchandise in my cart.. After cooperating with lp n giving all merchandise back an employee stated I was there yesterday also (and I was and I did steal then also) they told me to bring back whatever I stole tomorrow morning as they were going to review the surveillance videos.. I was taken to pd and finger printed n released with no paper work. Cop told me to watch the mail. Should I take the stuff I stole yesterday back to the store? Am I going to b charged for that also? Can they combine both days into 1? The amounts for each day were pretty hefty (800~900$) per day.. I have no prior convictions n my record is clean. What should I expect and do I have to pay for items from both days?
First, I would not post such detailed information here. Second, you should contact an attorney as soon as possible to discuss your case. An attorney can not only advise you but also talk to the store and police on your behalf.
The answer to your question doesn't matter because you did take the items back. Morally, that's the right thing to do. The better questions are "Do I need a lawyer?" (The Answer is Yes) and "How can I avoid shoplifting from now on?"
