Please help asap. I just dont want parents finding out. I have money to pay fine. Its life death situation. I am from bksfld and got ticket in valencia.
Is it really a life or death situation. If telling your parents is really a life or death situation, you need an attorney to file a domestic violence protection order, and you should find a safe place or shelter. Assuming that is not the case, if you pay the fine quickly, a summons or other statement may not be sent to your parent's home, and that might prevent them from finding out. But, if you are on your parent's insurance, they are likely to find out anyway, when the insurance agent notices an increase in your insurance rate and notices your driving record. You could approach the insurance agent and implore him/her not to tell, which, while probably a breach of duty to your parents, may hide your transgression. Unless your parents change insurance companies or agents within the next several years, which may be more likely if their rates go up because of the ticket. You could hire an attorney to fight the ticket, but in addition to court costs, and possible fines, you will be out the attorney's fees, and the time to appear at pretrials, and possibly a trial. Perhaps the best plan is good news/bad news. "Something happened yesterday while driving home. Good news, the car and I are fine. Bad news.... " It is to your credit that you are willing and able to be financially responsible. Consider going the rest of the way and informing your parents. Do you really want to later be caught hiding the ticket from them? Won't that be worse? Good luck!!
