I have not seen any papers to reinstate it, i don't know if there is a "time limit" on it. The guardianship was needed at the time, but now, I am happy, healthy, and ready to have my son. Unfortunately, they will only let me see him under their roof, with their supervision. He will be 8 years old in July this year, and is ready to live with me. I need help with this matter. Please..
you will have to back to court in florida to ask the judge to vacate the guardianship and return custody of your son to you.
Since your temporary guardianship was ordered in Florida, you must return there to terminate or modify it. You need to consult with a Florida attorney ASAP. The longer you wait, the more difficult it will be to get you son back.
Unfortunately this may be harder to undo than it was to set up. You need to get the assistance of an experienced attorney to help you with this situation. If you cannot afford it you may want to try legal aid. If you live out of state and your son is in Florida you will also have the expense of travelling to Florida for hearings, so make sure you are prepared financially and psychologically when you institution an action to terminate the guardianship.
