My father passed away, when going threw his old papers I found an uncashed IRS check. Is there a way for my to claim this money?
Is there going to be an estate opened up for your father's assets? If so, the executor/administrator should be able to either cash the check or if the bank wont honor it, you (the estate) can work with the IRS to have a new check issued.
