my j1 visa will be expired on Feb 2012. can i change from j1 visa to F1 visa? All i want to do now is quit the job... working very hard, washing the dishes, carry heavy stuff,very low paid and no career training....i found out that i cant learn anything that help my future career in this hotel. and i want to apply for a english school here because at least i can improve my english.please help !!!! can i change to f1 visa and apply for a 6 months english course.

You can only quit, once your status is changed by USCIS. To change to student status, you will need an I-20 from the school, and will then have to apply for the change.
