I attended visa interview on 10th July and was given white slip 221 g Admin processing, consulate took my passport, the case was last updated 13th July.
What should i expect , my client is not yet contacted nor the employer.
Please help in understanding if it is a good sign that the passport was taken or that the case was updated?
It could be a good sign. But, since your "employer" appears to be a 'job shop' that sends workers to 'client locations' ... there is a high risk of denial ... the US government is slowly shutting down job shops ... starting with the 'major consultancies'. That is probably what they're checking out right now. They do some of their checking in the 'background' ... not contacting the job shop nor client. Rather, they look to see how many other applications have been submitted by this 'employer'. All you can do is wait and hope for the best.
