Hello, i am graduate student. Live in USA. I have applied for asylum about one month ago. I might be offered an assistantship to teach in campus so that i can get tuition waiver for the classes i would take. my question is, am i allowed for such assistantships in campus as asylum applicant.
As an asylum applicant, you can only apply for an EAD work permit 150 days after you submitted your asylum application. Please see https://www.avvo.com/legal-guides/ugc/applying-for-asylum
Mr. Shusterman's (former INS Trial Attorney, 1976-82) response to your question is general in nature, as not all the facts are known to him. You should retain an attorney experienced in immigration law to review all the facts in your case in order to receive advice specific to your case. Mr. Shusterman's statement above does not create an attorney/client relationship.
Have you talked to your DSO about this?
Normally, if you are following ALL the rules of an F student, merely filing an asylum application won't change your ability for on-campus employment.
NOTE: If you file for an asylum-based EAD ... and use it .. you will violate your F status.
NOTE FURTHER: You should have an attorney review your application... most people who prepare their own applications are denied.

Hello, hope that this message finds you well. Once your asylum application has been pending for 150 days (1 months is too early) then you have a right to submit an application for work authorization. Hope this helps. Best of luck!
