Do I have to pay alimony when I am laid off from my job?
You will need to review your judgment. If the alimony is modifiable when there is a change in circumstances, then yes, it can be terminated or reduced if you lose your job.
If it is 'non-modifiable' you probably can't but you should consult with a local divorce attorney just to be sure there isn't something that can be done even if it does appear 'non' modifiable.
