I have a 2 bedroom house rented out and the renter decided to move additional people in and i charge them additional rent to live there .
Not sure I’m following you. Are you wanting to charge more rent because there are more tenants now? If your written lease agreement limits the amount of people that may reside in the house then you have the legal right to object to any additional tenants moving in beyond that amount and terminate the lease for the violation if it isn’t rectified. I do not believe that you can simply increase the rent because of this. If your lease agreement doesn’t address this issue (or you don’t have a written lease agreement) then you cannot object unless the number of residents violates a local ordinance or the occupancy permit.
