This will be my 2nd in 3 years, The first I did not go through workers comp because I was fairly new and another employee filed a claim recently, and the owner expressed his ill-will feelings to all other employees ( didn't wanna be that guy). Poor decision as it cost thousands out of pocket for me. When I injured myself the 2nd time I decided I wasn't going through that again and filled a workers comp case. Going to need another surgery. I work construction, and honestly dont think I will physically be able to return to my job after this surgery. My previous surgeon told me I should consider a new career before my first operation. How will my previous surgery effect my PPD? What should I expect my PPD to be.
I am sorry you are going through all this - and the pain!
You have a serious career ending injury and will never be the same. This is not the time to play mister nice guy. You, and your future and your family are just too important. The value of your case can be affected by the decisions you are making right now. You should AT LEAST call one of us for a free consultation and get a perspective on your options and opportunities going forward. Recovery of all that out-of-pocket spent may also be possible. Give one of us a call.

These are very serious injuries that will affect you for the rest of your life. You’re a pro at what you do and an amateur at this. Just as I would not try to build a house by myself(where I’m an amateur), I’d hire a pro, you should not try to do this by yourself, you should hire a pro.
The answer to your question is not so simple as to be able to answer it here.

I echo both my colleagues in terms of their condolences and wishing you strongly consider hiring an experienced attorney. I might go a step farther with Mr. Borah's analogy and suggest your situation is more like having one of us try doing what you do then deciding to call a professional. Not only do you have the underlying problem, but you have the additional problems someone else created.
There are things (some you've mentioned here, some that are not mentioned) that will affect the PPD.
