The custody agreement talks about the schedule between parents and the holidays etc. Then it says (sunmarizing):
H- father gets 4 weeks of summer with a 30 day notice given.
1. Children of school age must go with residential parent a week prior to school starting. No extended parenting time is to be scheduled by either parent.
2. Children not of school age...
The daughter is going to 1st grade but father has a weekend prior to school starting. Does he get to exercise his weekend still? We believe since it’s numerals after a specific number it means father cannot exercise one of his weeks the week prior to school starting.
You've got it wrong--the every other weekend stays in place. "No extended visitation" refers to something more than just the weekend.
