My 16 yr old daughter moved in with me 07/30/14. I filed all papers through CSR to have it suspended. Her mother will not sign the papers and I'm being told there is nothing they can do. I have to keep paying it. Her mother has already drained us financially with unnecessary attorney fees. Is there a way we can have this suspended without legal fees?
You need to file Complaint for Modification of Custody and Support with the Court and request that the Court formally award you custody of your daughter who has been living with you since 7/30/14 and stop your Child Support payment. You can also request that the mother be ordered to pay for Child Support.

Currently, I am licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of New York.
Sure, you can suspend it without legal fees. File a modification action.
