i am trying to serve my ex custody papers, he refuses to give an address, claims he is homeless, has friends and family falsely verify this claim, he does not work and lied to receive aid, i know this as a fact because he used my address at the time he applied and he did not live with me, i lived at his parents home. he has no communication with his parents, hasnt for over a year, and no-one on his social media site will help me. what can i do, im on aid and pregnant with our second child, my options financially are limited.
When you have to serve a complaint or first pleading in a lawsuit, hire a process server. Or get an unrelated party over the age of 18 to hand it to him or go to the court for an order to serve by publication. Remember to file the Proof Of Service (POS) with the court. if you don't know what I am talking about. Seek an attorney.
The above is not legal advice. It is an illustration of options that can be used in certain situations. I have not examined all of your facts, if I did I might provide a different response.
