Some of the complaint is true but twist to benefit them other information are false and speculation to make them the victim. The customer has filed a separate lawsuit, which an attorney has responded. For cost sake how do we respond to this directly and defend ourself as this customer has ultimately lied to the sheriff and was site for theif. I believe we missed the 15 day response time.
If you already have a lawyer for a similar civil lawsuit from the same party, I highly recommend that you use the same lawyer. Otherwise you stand a fairly large risk of doing or saying something in responding to the AG investigation that will harm or undermine your defense in the civil lawsuit.
Contact the AG's office and explain that you need more time. Odds are that they will cooperate and give you a little bit more time to respond. Ignoring their inquiry is the worst thing one can do, most of the time.
How about your own attorney so that AG deals with it quickly and without an error caused by you miss peaking?
