got into an accident in 2014 but was hit in the stopped position off the road. I let my insurance lapse because I just got out the VA hospital. I am a fully disabled combat veteran, please help! From this I went into a ptsd episode from it. I had a witness inside at the time of the accident and my damage is missing from the police report
Contact local personal injury counsel if you were injured as they will represent you on a contingency basis.
Several things jump out from your narrative. First, there is no right to a pro bono attorney in a civil case like this. Most lawyers will accept this kind of case on a contingent fee with no out of pocket money from you. Second, the fact that you were not insured is not relevant if the other driver was at fault. Third, there may be a statute of limitations issue. Contact a local car accident attorney now.
Get a contingency fee lawyer. You should obtain needed medical care and treatment immediately and follow the doctor's advice. Do not give any statements to the adverse party or insurance company nor grant them access to any medical records. Photograph the injuries and the damage done to any property. Contact a personal injury attorney in your area as soon as possible so that you can protect your rights.
