My 15 year relationship is over. My girlfriend has never contributed to the household other than cleaning and cooking. I pay for everything - house payment, utilities, food, insurance even help her pay her car payment and pay her cell phone. She has no lease with me and we have never married. I have asked her to leave many times. She has told me she will never leave and that she will die of old age in my house. In the past, I called the police as she was being physically abusive to me and they actually asked ME to leave my home so she could stay there because she said she had nowhere to go. How can I make her leave and ensure that she doesn't manage to twist things to her advantage. The last thing I want to do is end up paying for a house that she lives in because she is cute and good at manipulating people while I am larger and a bit more awkward. I've been trying to make her uncomfortable enough to leave for over 8 years. It's not working. Help!
You can consult an attorney, and follow the procedures used to evict a tenant at will. You will be required to file an eviction proceeding, and obtain a writ if possession to get her out.
