The answer depends a lot on the reason these people think they have a right to stay in the house. If they were staying there just because your deceased father said it was OK, then whatever you do, don't tell them it is OK to stay there any longer. Follow the advice of my colleague. Have the successor trustee hire an attorney to evict them.
