What? If you're in jail, it's illegal for you to have a cell phone. You should also have a lawyer from the Public Defender's Office. He or she is in a better position to answer your question than strangers on the Internet who know nothing about your case.
This is NOT legal advice. It is a general discussion of legal principles by a California lawyer, and does not create an attorney/client relationship. You should always consult PRIVATELY with an attorney.
Hire an attorney or demand a public defender. It is tough for me to give too much more advice without knowing any of the facts of the case, your criminal history, how much restitution is owed, etc. Hire an attorney or demand a public defender. Good luck to you.
The ONLY way to handle this is with the assistance of an attorney--likely a public defender. If possible, get together some money toward restitution and QUIT STEALING money that isn't yours.
