i am lebanese i applied for asylum with my mother and we already did the FP about about 10 month ago and the process is taking for ever i need to know and prepare for my interview specially for my mother that she dosent speak english, i already got my SS card and my mom as well and i just wanted to know how much time does it take usually and am waiting since 1 year now can i do something about it plus is it right that it might take15 years? and if i decline the process can i get my old visit visa?

The really long waiting time is for you to get an interview with an Asylum Officer, which could take years. Once that is complete, you will generally receive a decision no later than 60 days after you filed your asylum application. However, longer processing times may be required if your mother is being interviewed at a USCIS field office, has pending security checks, or has a case that is being reviewed by asylum division headquarters staff. Being that you are from Syria the security checks will be extensive, of that you can be sure.
