Was found with counterfeit money
You are looking at the charge most likely of criminal possession of a forged instrument 1st degree which is a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Each piece of counterfeit money can be a separate charge so can be multiple counts at 10 years additional each. That is for KY state charges. Keep in mind the federal government also has jurisdiction and can bring charges with could get you 20 years and a $250,000.00 fine. This is a serious charge so don't discuss any aspect of the case with anyone other than your criminal defense attorney and hire one now.
