I have a shoplifting charge from December 2017 for $20 worth of product. I'm 20 years old, this is my first charge ever. I just became aware that I now have a failure to appear charge for missing court last June (I forgot). I posted a $250 bond and spend 2 days in jail when I first got arrested. How much time will I get for failure to appear and the tbut charge?
You really need to hire an attorney to have the bench warrant and FTA set aside and get this back on the docket for you. This is a class A misdemeanor punishable by up to 12 months in jail.

Agree with Mike. Hire a criminal defense attorney immediately. You have a bench warrant for your arrest and the longer you are on the run the less likely the prosecutor and the Judge are going to be lenient on you and shoplifting is a serious charge and you could get up to 12 months in jail on this charge no matter it was just $20.
