I signed a year lease. Been here 7 years without lease. Landlord said I needed to pay 2 months for Notice and I forfeit my deposit. Is that correct?
Depends on the terms of that old lease. Just because the year is up doesn't mean the lease is really over. It could (and likely does) have a clause that lets it continue on unless either side actually says it's ended.
