I’m trying to change my first name and add two middle names to my name.
If you are an adult it costs very little to petition for a name change (just nder $50 as I recall) Check the county court where you live, its on their website. You will have to give notice to the SSA, IRS, State, DMV too.

Generally, name changes are charged for the event, not the number. So, you want 9 middle names and a new last name you pay the same fee as if you want only one middle name and a new last name. The cost is state dependent so you have to check where you intend to seek the name change.
There may be other factors to be determined, however, as you cannot change names, etc to hide from creditors, hide criminal activity and the like.
