I was hurt on Oct 6th 2016 in Ohio working for Hogan trucking now M.O. comp picked it up until they said they did not have the authority and dropped me on Jan 8th now I have had three continuances in Ohio because hogan keeps asking for them I have a lawyer but it does not seem to bother him and can not get any answers so now I dont know when the next hearing will be scheduled do you think I need a new attorny
The employer can ask for as many continuances as the judge is willing to give them.
Based on what you have said, I do not see any reason to suppose that your attorney is making any mistakes or is failing to give your case sufficient attention. If you have concerns about your representation, you should discuss them with your attorney.
It is not unusual for there to be multiple continuances in a pending case. If there is anything predictable about litigation, it is that the case always drags on for at least twice as long as the plaintiff thinks it ought to take.
