You need to speak with a criminal defense attorney as soon as possible. The police do not always need a search warrant to search a car and they can charge all occupants with possession even though the drugs may only belong to one party.
These types of cases are fact sensitive and a thorough review of all of the evidence will need to be performed before you can get a good answer. There are many good criminal defense attorneys in Lubbock. If you cannot afford one the court will appoint a public defender to represent you.
Most attorneys will work out payment plans if you cannot afford his or her up-front retainer. My advice is to call around to a few and see if they are willing to meet with you. One thing is for sure, you will not "beat the case" on your own. Good luck.
