This is under child abuse but is really for criminal defense counsel. His criminal defense counsel needs to answer this question which is a factor of credits before and after sentencing. If you are truthfully saying you made a false statement to police then an attorney can look at the case for innocence, but if you are just trying to help him now and there is additional evidence of guilt beyond your statement, you need to speak to a counselor for domestic violence victims and not concern yourself with his problem of his making.
Thomas J. Baker of Baker & Tisdale PLLC principally practices in the Central Texas area, including Bell, Coryell, Lampasas, McLennan, Milam and Williamson counties. The advice given here is not and ahould not be taken as a substitute for in-personal consultation with counsel, particularly where legal documents, such as court orders need to be reviewed. I am Board-Certified in Family Law but not in any other areas of practice.
Once a defendant is sentenced to prison, jurisdiction of his/her case is transferred to the Texas Department of Corrections. It is the TDC, more specifically the Board of Pardons & Parole, that calculates an inmates estimated parole date, given back time and good time credit. Once your husband is transferred to a TDC facility, you can look up his parole date on the TDCJ website, Good luck.
