My son who at the time was a juvenile was accused of a crime and we were going to court back and forth fighting the case without a lawyer. We ended up missing a court date and me and my son was issued an bench warrant. Now I'm his parent and I have a warrant for something I never did. Now I'm here asking how long will I have to stay in jail for a juvenile bench warrant for my son in the state of Indiana
How long you will have to stay in jail depends on the reason the judge placed you in jail. If the reason was failure to appear at a court hearing, then, most likely, you will have to stay in jail until the court has the hearing. Odious or egregious conduct could lengthen your stay. You would be wise to retain counsel.
