How long in the state of IL can one county hold a person with a warrant in another county ?

We need more information in order to answer this question.
There are geographic limitations that can be placed on arrest warrants. For example, a judge could issue an arrest warrant that is only effective in one county, but will be seen by police when a person’s information is run outside of that county. In this instance, a police officer outside of the county where the warrant is effective will be unable to arrest the person based on the warrant because of the geographical limitations that warrant is subject to. It does not sound like that is the case here so the county is likely within their rights to hold a person until they pay the bond amount or are released.
