The divorce was filed 12/30/16. The respondent replied with an Answer, Waiver, and Request for Copy of Final Dissolution of Marriage with his financial affidavit on 1/24/17. All the other required paperwork has been filed by pettioner, including proof of taking their parenting course. The respondent has known since December that the course must be taken before divorce can be finalized.
For dissolution of marriage, FL Statute 61.21(5) requires the petitioner to complete the course within 45 days of filing the petition, and the respondent must complete the course within 45 days of being served. A final order cannot be issued until both parents have completed the course.

It is supposed to be completed within 45 days of being served. But for practical purposes, the only time that it will really become an issue is if it is not completed by the time of the Final Hearing. If not, then the Court will not issue a Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage.
