I was given a PR bond in court, later that evening during out processing I was informed I was not getting released. I asked why and was informed that I had an "old warrant". I asked to have my wrist band checked (because I suspected that I didn't have a warrant because I know my past and the C.O. gave a suspicious smirk when he told me) they refused. The next day I was released and the C.O. told me that I didn't really have an old warrant and that they messed up on my paperwork and laughed at me. Average release time for Milwaukee County Jail is 2 to 8 hours, what I'm wondering is in what amount of time do they have to by law release an inmate after a P.R. bond is signed. Thank you Lawyers for your time and Thank you Avvo for your awesome website. Any help is appreciated.
