He &I were together for 10 years. it became a very abusive relationship and the breaking point was when he threw our 4 month daughter like a football across the room onto the sofa. I had him removed from the apt &went to court for sole custody. I wasn't granted that at first, was forced into supervised visitation & child support(I didn't want) of $20/month for all 3 kids.Every weekend for the next 3 months i took my kids to the courthouse for the supervised visitation that he only attended the first Saturday. At the hearing I was told that I would be arrested &the kids taken away if I were not to bring them and he would be arrested as well if he didn't show. No arrest warrant was issued for him for not showing up & I went back. Didn't leave till the judge said Sole Custody & No Contact O
If its a restraining order (final) it is forever unless good cause is shown and a motion is brought to dismiss. No contact has less "teeth" but I do not believe that expires either.
