Generally once a probate has been completed it cannot be reopened. That being said you should look at the state where the decedent lived and also consider the issue that you are personally liable for the estate tax returns. Generally there can be an audit for up to 7 years after the tax returns are files so we typically advise our clients to keep the records for same time period as they would keep tax documents.
