I filed on July 17 in San Bernardino county. The clerk told me that I had to serve my ex no less than thirty days before our court date on October 31st. Is this correct?
You must serve the document at least 19 court days prior to the hearing.
Why wait? The sooner you serve your ex, the greater the chances are that he will be denied a continuance, if he asks for one.
