The cadle company claims I owe them a starting debt of 4000 back in 2002 now they want 14000 I don't even believe it's my debt to begin with .Now they have filed a junction in the state I grew up in but have not lived there since 1999.
You are welcome to formally oppose the lawsuit but since you haven't said where the suit was filed, I can't say whether a sol defense would be available to you or not. Another issue is whether the cable company is regulated as a utility in this state. If it is regulated, the state utility authority, often formed as a commission or board may be a good resource for information. Hope this perspective helps!

If its a WA based judgment, they are good for 10 years with up to 10 more years if renewed for 20 years total. As far as the amount, it is 12% per year so roughly (very roughly) you are looking at a 15 year or 90% increase. That should put it in the realm of 10k owed, not 14k. Might be some bad math involved. You will want to have it reviewed by an attorney. Try DJ Hastings out in your area.
