My ex is self employed and is getting paid cash . He has his own website and can not pay child support. The attorney general has all the information they need but can not make him to come into court.
The Texas Attorney General does not represent you. The represent the interests of the State of Texas. Therefore, their processes are slow because of their enormous volume of cases. It may be they have not found him to serve him yet. Your best option in this kind of case is to find a private attorney who can aggressively pursue him and work with the Attorney General to collect your support. In a Texas child support case, it is mandatory that the parent who owes child support reimburse you for the attorney's fees you paid upfront. So you will have to put out money to get money but it will be worth the expenditure. Good luck.
