If I leased the car and still have 2 months left for the lease, do I have to continue paying for the 2 months remaining lease with the replacement car? Will the car be new or one of similar miles? Will the year, color, and model be the same?
With a replacement Lemon Law transaction, you would receive a new vehicle of the current model year of the same make and model, identically equipped to your current vehicle. Your vehicle would be substituted into your current lease, and you would continue to make payments. That being said, with only two months remaining, it is highly unlikely the manufacturer would agree to a replacement. Also, you would have to return the car at the end of the lease same as you would have. If your lease has a "buy out" provision, you could figure out it that would make financial sense.
Best of luck!
