I have custody court coming up in a very lengthy custody battle. I am representing myself. I would like to subpoena the current Friend of the Court worker that is assigned to our case, and who made the custody recommendation that we are going to court regarding .What exactly do I need to do to subpoena her? I have found a form online, but not exactly sure what to do with it to make sure I do it right. I cannot afford to hire an attorney to handle this for me.
This is a question of proper civil procedure. When you represent yourself in court, you take on the responsibility of knowing and properly applying the MI court rules. It is difficult, but not impossible. I would advise you to look online for various 'how-to' kits for attorneys and litigants alike.
